Build the future
We are building a full stack energy company to lower the cost of energy & accelerate energy abundance.
- Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
- Live and work on site
- 4 open roles

Open roles
Join the founding team.
Three people to take the battery into production, and one to build the site they will work from.
Lead Electrochemist
Take our cells from the first lab build to a full 12 kWh module.
- Cell development

- Full-time, live on site
Lead Electrochemist
Take our cells from the first lab build to a full 12 kWh module.
What you will do
- Lead cell development, from small test cells to a full 12 kWh module.
- Prepare and tune electrolyte for hot sites and low charge loss at rest.
- Run cycling tests at 25°C and 45°C, and measure efficiency, zinc plating and self-discharge.
- Open up failed cells and find out why, using impedance and teardown analysis.
- Write the cell specification the pilot line will build to.
- Set safe chemical handling rules for the lab with the Research Facility Lead.
What you bring
- An MSc or PhD in electrochemistry, chemistry or materials, and at least 5 years of hands-on battery work.
- Experience with aqueous chemistries such as zinc-bromine, zinc-ion, lead-acid or flow batteries.
- Daily use of battery cyclers, potentiostats and impedance (EIS) testing.
- Careful written test records that others can repeat.
Good to have
- You have moved a cell design from the lab into production.
Manufacturing Engineering Lead
Design and build the pilot line that makes our batteries.
- Production
- Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
- Full-time, live on site
Manufacturing Engineering Lead
Design and build the pilot line that makes our batteries.
What you will do
- Plan and build our first production line: electrode sheets, cutting, plastic welding, filling, formation and end-of-line testing.
- Find, buy and convert used battery manufacturing equipment, much of it from lead-acid plants.
- Work with Nigerian moulders and fabricators on cell frames, cases and cabinets.
- Write work instructions, quality checks and yield tracking for every station.
- Plan how we scale with established battery manufacturers.
What you bring
- At least 7 years of manufacturing or process engineering, ideally in batteries (lead-acid is a strong fit) or plastics.
- You have commissioned equipment and run a production line.
- Experience setting up quality systems and training operators.
- A working network of suppliers and fabricators in Nigeria.
Good to have
- Experience with plastic welding, extrusion or injection moulding.
Battery Systems Engineer
Turn cells into modules and stacks, and get them certified.
- Modules and Agbara OS hardware
- Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
- Full-time, live on site
Battery Systems Engineer
Turn cells into modules and stacks, and get them certified.
What you will do
- Design the module and the cabinet: blocks, busbars, cabling and enclosures.
- Build the battery management board that measures voltage, current and temperature in every module.
- Integrate the inverter, charge controller, 4G and satellite link, GPS and tamper sensors with Agbara OS.
- Prepare modules for UL 1973 and UL 9540 testing, and work with the test labs.
- Install and support the first stacks at pilot sites.
What you bring
- At least 5 years in battery systems, power electronics or energy storage integration.
- Battery management system design experience and a working knowledge of 48 V DC systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as UL 1973, UL 9540 or IEC 62619.
- Comfort on site with tools, wiring and commissioning.
Good to have
- Embedded firmware experience.
Research Facility Lead
Turn our 5‑acre site in Ijebu-Ode into a working research facility.
- Site and operations
- Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
- Full-time, live on site
Research Facility Lead
Turn our 5‑acre site in Ijebu-Ode into a working research facility.
What you will do
- Plan and deliver the site build-out: lab buildings, test areas, storage and offices.
- Set up the ventilated electrolyte room with fume extraction, deionised water, chemical storage and waste water treatment.
- Bring reliable power to the site, running on our own battery stacks with the grid as backup.
- Hire and manage contractors, and keep the build on budget and on schedule.
- Secure permits and registrations, including NESREA, the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency and factory registration.
- Run site safety, security and logistics once the lab opens.
What you bring
- At least 8 years delivering industrial, laboratory or manufacturing facilities in Nigeria.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and schedules.
- Working knowledge of Nigerian environmental and factory permits.
- Health and safety experience with hazardous chemicals.
- You live in Ogun State or will move there.
We will hire about 12 people with this round, mostly engineers and technicians. If you can help us build this and do not see your role here, apply anyway and tell us how.
